INSPIRATION
A&D Studio + Partners continues to draw inspiration from the work and memory of our dear friend, Robert Green.
Meeting Robert Green was a transcendental experience.
Robert Green, a student of the renowned Frank Lloyd Wright, considered Wright to be a “spiritual” father figure. Having been part of Wright’s 1959 class, Robert held a deep appreciation for the architect until Wright’s passing. As Robert himself expressed, being acknowledged and mentored by the greatest architect instilled in him a profound sense of responsibility to produce exceptional work in every endeavor. This responsibility became Frank Lloyd Wright’s enduring legacy to him, and Robert strived to honor it throughout his career.
Entering Robert’s studio was like stepping into a living history book, adorned with sketches, drawings, renderings, and meticulously detailed designs. He not only followed in his mentor’s footsteps but also elevated Frank Lloyd Wright’s concepts and philosophies to new heights. Despite his accomplishments, Robert remained genuinely humble and deeply reverential of nature.
Unfortunately, we lost Robert in 2003, but his influence continues to inspire us at A&D Studio + Partners as we cultivate our studio with the same passion for art, design, and architecture. Our intention is to pay tribute to the memory and legacy of our dear friend Robert, as well as honor his son Matthew, who is also a cherished friend to us.
