The original building was built in 1974 on a mountain ridge. The client wanted to integrate the building to the surrounding environment and provide the mountain feel as you approach the main entrance. The color palette was inspired by the building's natural environment thus alleviating the massive structure feel and the use of heavy timber. The port cochere was enlarged, providing a more welcoming and inviting experience. This project was completed in 2010 while employed at PFVS Architects.
